CS Update

i ordered Condition Zero through Steam for $30 and now valve is probably planning on having CZ and CS players being able to play together, which is a good thing, so everyone can play together,....but it seems unfair....paying $30 for only thing worth it is the single player bot feature, since everything else is now given to CS as well. i have no problem with the cs and cz being together, but damn it, we all should get a $10 rebate !!!!!!

Wtf do thay mean updated modles LOOKS the exact same as always to me maybe becuse i dont have Steam installed CZ if thats the case im keepin the thing uninstalled from steam dont want that Talaban leet crew looks dumb as hell

edit: the link doesnt work anymore (well not for me) but cliff said that the CZ skins in CS was not a bug and the timer was cuz the server were not updated

well acctually, if everyone gets the new models im not too bothered. Atleast it's only player models. :)



Is it just CZ players who get the CZ player models?

Right now, the only way to use the old default player models is to paste in the default models into your cstrike\models folder. Even if you don't have Condition Zero installed, Steam recognizes that your Steam account has Condition Zero on it, so your player models will be those of Condition Zero. You can uninstall Condition Zero, but that won't help. You'll need to play from an account that does not have Condition Zero binded to it. Hopefully in the next Counter-Strike update, there will be an option to disable it. I was just wondering if it will affect leagues like cal.

I am seeing here and on steampowered people praising this release, when in fact, it appears to be one of the most faulty and buggy updates in a while.



1) randomly disappearing/appearing (for several rounds at a time) round timer (this is a big bummer).

2) random game exits/crashes.

3) cz skins in cs with no obvious way to revert.



they say they fixed the hit boxes and everyone starts singing their praises, yet no one can say for sure if hitboxes are fixed. I'm all for updates... but we need consistency on the quality of these releases, especially nine months into this Steam thing.

1) Go play on an updated server as stated by cliffe in this very line of comments.

2) You're the only one I've heard of with this problem. Perhaps it's your own hardware that you should try and blame.

You know if you do rcon sv_restart 5 it says it will restart in 5 secs yet it does it in 1...

Since this update I've been getting a lot more headshots. Went and played on a UK2 server, only used the P228, took out five people in one round (they all had rifles), four with headshots.



God bless large, solid, purple crosshairs. Now I can aim properly again.

That's the stupid way out. I want an option in the game. It's plain stupid to force somebody to download something.
