The thing is... I noticed the round timer disappearing BEFORE this update. It just seems more common now.

Aye thats true Zips...least for CZ.



When CZ 1.2 was released one could easily join servers that weren't updated for the secksay new hostage AI (well sure, it needs to be worked on more...but its a good start) and player location system.



On those un-updated servers (apparent with the lack of new hostage model and no location system) the round timer would ALWAYS disappear once the bomb has been planted/defused.



Seeing how the steam content servers will probably be bogged down for a good few hours yet most of the CS servers most probably havent updated...thus causing the above oddity...I mean..at least since the CZ servers have finally updated to CZ 1.2 the whole round timer disappearing trick bug has become really really rare...at least at the servers I frequent in Australia.

So there is no way to get rid of the CZ models in regular CS? (besides reinstalling everything except CZ)

Make sure you're connecting to a server that has updated.

Yea because servers update every 10 mins. You guys really should stop doing updates on CAL nights...it's not that difficult.

Steam can't revolve around a third party league, however Steam should reconsider the time of the updates. They should update them in the wee hours of the morning. I know this is impossible to be ideal for everyone in the world but since everything is based here in the states, the time should be ideal for the states. Currently the updates come out during primetime play and etc, it just makes little sense. I also believe that HLDS should update before the clients update. I often get an update and some servers have yet to update.



Also for those who haven't found it yet, your crosshair color options are not limited to what is in the menu. You can use cl_crosshair_color "X X X" to choose whichever color you like. I.E. cl_crosshair_color "255 255 255" would give a user white crosshairs.

I tryed that, the cz models kept on re-downloading.

The round timer problems are a result of the server you are playing on not updating yet. Have the server restart and update and it should fix itself. Details here.
