CS @ UNBC has slapped up a new interview with goosey (2nd news item currently).. Here's a tidbit:cs@unbc: Will you ever hardcode everything making it impossible to use skins, etc?
KA!
Gooseman: It may come to that given the amount of cheating going on. First person weapon models will be user customizable though since you can't reallly cheat with those. It's a really hard decision to make but if I had to choose between customizability and not allowing cheating, I'd have to go with cheating.. Cheating just makes EVERYONE's life miserable (except the cheaters of course).Comment

CS.de has posted a brand spanking new Interview with Gooseman, here's a tit bid:<[-DNC-]RageWarrior>Previously we've heard about a the new shotgun, the M3 Super 90 Combat. How come you decided on adding another shotgun, not on something like a rifle?Any other new weapons beside the M3 Super 90 Combat?
Preach.
<[Gooseman]>The M3 Super 90 isn't new at all.. I just redid the model and animations..I redid the following guns for BETA 6.5:
USP .45 Tactical
Colt M4A1
Sig SG-552
M3 Super 90
I might be *ADDING* some new guns in BETA 7..Comment

Gooseman Interview
Gooseman has been interviewed over at TF2 Source. They focus mainly on Counter-Strike for Team Fortress 2. Here's a preview...Q. If you decide to do it, will it be CounterStrike 2 with new weapons etc, or will it be a direct port?
Also in the interview, Gooseman says he hopes to release Beta 7 sometime this week! Read the whole interview here.
A. I'll probably keep some old weapons... but I'd most likely want to do new weapons. I'd probably end up redoing a lot of the media content to take advantage of the new engine. So, that would mean doing new models and such. I'll probably wait till TF2 is released before I make any announcements. oh.. and another thing, Valve owns the rights to CounterStrike so it's totally up to them whether or not CounterStike 2 gets made.Comment

Gooseman Interview
Checkout.com has interviewed the one and only Gooseman.
It's pretty hefty and a long interview, as opposed to the short ones with questions about how to know which light switch controls the light bulb.. um, cough. How close was the original idea to what you initially released?
BETA 1 wasn't even close to what I initially set out to make, but I can say that BETA 7 is what I envisioned CS to be. That doesn't mean I'll stop making more BETAs though, since there's always room for improvement.
Note: It does say BETA 8 will be the retail version of CS. Yay.Comment

Gooseman Interview
PC Gamer UK has posted an interview with gooseman, here is a snip
very interesting!.. go read it!!!PCG: Will Valve be happy for such a direct rival to TF2, which in many ways builds upon team concepts used so well in CS?
Gooseman: I doubt CS2 will become as dominant as CS was. I think by the time CS2 is available, multiplayer games will be so damn advanced in terms of graphical appeal and game design that it will be hard to repeat the success of CS. Having seen the latest TF2 stuff, I was left asking myself, "Gee, what more could I add to THIS?".Comment

Gooseman Interview
I've recently had the chance to sitdown and have an hour long IRC session with our God himself, Gooseman. Here's a tidbit from the interview.
Go check it out, it has a ton of neat-o info!RzE: Will the G3 be cut?
Gooseman: No, it'll be T-only and the SG-550 is CT only. he reload time for the G3 has been reduced as well, it was ludicrously slow in B7.Comment

HL Italia has gotten their collective funk on and interviewed gooseman. Here's an interesting bit:
Read it all!WarFox - Which will be THE next feature for CS 1.1? New vehicles? New gameplay,
weapons, maps or what?
Gooseman - Most likely bug fixes/ cheat fixes and if I can figure something out, I can improve the vehicles but they're pretty difficult to work with. I just hope TF2 will have a much better implementation of drivable vehicles!Comment
