Battlefield 1943: Pacific Appearing at NY Comic Con

The original schedule for Electronic Arts' showing at the upcoming New York Comic Con said that EA would be handing out postcards for Battlefield 1943: Pacific.

While the page no longer reflects this announcement, a Google cache of the page does indeed show the postcard listing.

Additionally, French gaming site, JeuxActu has apparently confirmed the game's existance. The site says that the game is slated for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will feature Battlefield 1942 map favorites such as Iwo Jima, Wake Island, and Guadalcanal. It is also said that Battlefield 1943: Pacific will utilize the Frostbite engine, the same one used in Battlefield: Bad Company.

There is no word or confirmation made yet from EA on any of this. Nor is there any word on if Battlefield 1943: Pacific will be released on the PC.
