The International 2013 has kicked off just a couple of short hours ago today. The now annual Dota 2 tournament put on by Valve features some of the best Dota 2 teams from all around the world, playing for the largest prize pool of any e-sports event ever.
At present, the prize pool is at $2,844,282 (USD) but can keep growing any time an Interactive Compendium for Dota 2 is purchased.
If you are in attendance, there will be special appearances by various voice actors that have provided their talents to Dota 2 characters, new items for purchase, and more. Items sold at the event will also make their way to the Valve Store online.
How do you watch? You can either load up Dota 2 to watch all of the events live thanks to the in-game spectator feature. It includes commentary, various camera controls, stats, and so much more. Or you can watch the events courtesy of Twitch on the official Dota 2 page.
Don't forget that Dota 2 is free, so if you don't like the stream on Twitch, download the Dota 2 client from Steam and craft your own viewing experience as it happens.

Just as a quick note, there isn't even a match underway at this second (they're between matches it looks like) and there are still over 168,000 viewers just on Twitch watching this.
