NGames has announced a new update for their free-to-play strategy MMORPG, Wartune. The 1.6 update will launch in mid-June.
More information can be found at the Wartune website.
The major focus of the 1.6 update will be Class Wars, where Wartune warriors will be able to test their strengths against the strongest players in the game.
The Class Wars are events allowing players to participate in cross-server PVP battles. The system is divided into three parts: Contests, Wagers and the Glory Shop.
Warriors will face off against each other during the Class War contests, with the strongest players receiving unique rewards, such as special mounts and items. Taking part in Wagers will reward the victor with additional crystals to spend in the Glory Shop on mounts, runestones and many more coveted items and equipments.
In a powerful twist, Version 1.6 also introduces Tanks to the world of Wartune. Tanks allow players of level 35 or higher to drive into dungeons with military might, providing increased stats and stronger skills for their stay.
Tank battles will take place between 21:00 and 21:25 every day, where players will be rewarded for destroying as many enemy tanks as possible. It isn't all about going gung-ho though - warriors will be needed to stay alive for as long as possible, as players will not be revived instantly upon death. Instead, all players will be revived at regular intervals during the battle.
Additional bonus points are on offer for defeating the special bosses, who appear towards the end of the dungeon.
