EVE Fanfest 2013 Schedule of Events

CCP Games has announced the final schedule of events for the now sold-out fan event, EVE Fanfast. Taking place between April 25-27, the event will focus on the past, present, and future of games such as Dust 514, EVE Online, and CCP Games as a whole.
“Games as Art” is the latest addition to this year’s series of expert-led panels at Fanfest, and will be available via live stream for those unable to attend the sold-out event. Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator of New York’s Museum of Modern Art, will serve as the moderator of a panel discussion examining the evolution of video games as an artistic medium. Antonelli will be joined by representatives of three of the thirteen video games recently added to the museum’s permanent collection.

    Title:
Games as Art: EVE and Other Games at the NY MoMA

    Speakers:
Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator, New York Museum of Modern Art
Torfi Frans Olafsson, Creative Director, CCP Games
    Adam Saltsman, Designer, Canabalt
    Tarn Adams, Co-Creator, Dwarf Fortress

    Summary:
EVE Online, along with twelve other video games, was recently added to the permanent collection of The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Paola Antonelli, Senior Curator at MoMA, will be joined by CCP’s Torfi Frans Olafsson, Canabalt’s Adam Saltsman, and Tarn Adams of Dwarf Fortress, to discuss what it means to be included in the museum’s permanent collection and share their thoughts on how video games have evolved as an artistic medium.

The full schedule can be found at the EVE Fanfest 2013 website. If you are unable to attend the event, have no fear because they will stream more than 30 hours of Fanfest sessions live on CCP's Twitch page. Additional live streaming options include an HD option which can be purchased for $19.95 (USD). More information on the HD premium stream can be found here.
