You may have beat Borderlands 2 and you may have also beat True Vault Hunter Mode (aka: New Game Plus), but are you ready for a second New Game Plus? Probably.
Regardless, a second new game plus mode is coming to Borderlands 2 next week on April 2. Called the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, you will need to be level 50 in order to begin this mode. The difficulty will obviously be ramped up.
In conjunction with this update, the level cap for characters has been increased to 61. A new "Pearlescent" level of gear will kick in once you hit level 51.
This update will be free to those with the Season Pass. If you don't have the Season Pass, it's said that the DLC will run you $5.
Finally, instead of making a third news post about a new DLC character, let's just lump it in here. A sixth Vault Hunter was fully revealed today during the PAX East 2013 panel. He's a Psycho named Krieg, specializes in melee combat, and includes a Buzz Axe for his special action skill.
His skill tree includes Bloodlust, Mania, and Hellborn. Bloodlust stacks, Mania gives benefits based on the damage you take, and Hellborn is all about elemental damage.
Krieg will not be free for anyone but will go for $10 when he is released this May.
