However, an audio clip from SCEE's Senior Vice President, Michael Denny, certainly seems to indicate that is indeed the case. The audio clip was released from Silicon Republic after many doubted the validity of the claim when presented in simple text.
Sony has neither confirmed nor denied the comments made by Denny in the audio clip. Gran Turismo 6 development apparently started back in 2010 at Polyphony Digital, which may be one of the major reasons why the game is not (yet) announced for the PlayStation 4.
