Well, ain't this some shit. Probably the biggest thing Diablo 3 fans on the PC wanted since before the game was even released was an offline mode. Time and time again Blizzard had an excuse at the ready as to why it just wasn't possible. Now, it seems as though the PS3 and PS4 version of the game will include offline mode at the start.
Really, the excuse was that it prevented cheating. Well, a fat load of good that helped since there were dupe bugs and exploits almost from the start, in spite of this need for an always on connection. But hey, whatever, PC gamers continue to require an always on connection to play while those on Sony's consoles can play offline.
