Starting today (January 31), Painkiller Hell & Damnation is having a free multiplayer weekend through Steam. You can download and play parts of the game, and if you find out that you like it then hey, you can purchase it for 66% off of its regular price.
You can either install the free weekend (clicking this will install the game on Steam) version of the game and try out the multiplayer, or purchase the game from Steam at 66% off and play the single player as well as the multiplayer for as long as you want.
Now, I did do a preview video for the game's campaign back on Halloween 2012. You can check that out again below if you need a refresher. What I didn't look at in the video was the game's multiplayer, and I believe that was due to having an early release preview build of the game. I also just happen to enjoy the single player of the Painkiller games a bit more, but I might be in the minority on that.
“This is a great promotion that will give those who have not had a taste of Painkiller a good taste of all the fast paced gory action,” said Thomas Reisinger, Key Account Manager Online Sales at Nordic Games. “Demon slayers can slash their way through to a great discount that is great value for money.”
The multiplayer weekend will allow players to jump in and experience all the multiplayer action from the main game including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag and Survival. Weekend bargain hunters will also be able to experience the entire first chapter of the single player campaign.
