Reported in Portuguese and translated by GameSpot, it does indeed seem as though this is precisely what Chaverot said to the publication. It is unknown, however, whether this will be for Assassin's Creed 4, or a Vita only title, or another spinoff series like Brotherhood and Revelations for Assassin's Creed 2.
A few missions in Assassin's Creed 3 did take place in Brazil and may have been a small taste of things to come for the series.
