Wii U GamePad Will Cost an Arm and Half of a Leg

If you, for whatever reason, need to pick up a second Wii U GamePad, prepare to pay out the ass for them. Nintendo announced that a stand-alone Wii U Gamepad will cost ¥13,440.

To put that into terms you can understand, that's roughly $173 USD. Be sure to remember that one of these comes bundled with the Wii U itself and that these are not the Pro controllers. Those are different and will only run you about $65 USD.
