Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is officially out of beta and has released on time! Yes, as it was feature locked since the last update, there wasn't any big content update to mark the release of the game coming out of beta. What we do get, however, is a lovely new infographic showing off some of the gameplay stats from December 1, 2011 through August 15, 2012 for the beta.
If you think Valve and Hidden Path are just going to sit back and take a break, you are sorely mistaken. They are still working hard on the upcoming Map Workshop for CS:GO and are also helping with the finishing touches on the first release of the Zombie Mod for the game.
With a number of tournaments already lined up, now is as good a time as ever to check out Counter-Strike: Global Offensive ($15 USD). Look forward to the Go4CSGO, ESWC qualifiers, and DreamHack tournaments in the coming days and months. Global Offensive will be released on the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network later tonight and into tomorrow.
