Diablo III Adds Gold Sales to the Real-Money Auction House

And boom goes the dynamite. Just a few short hours ago, Blizzard rolled out an update to the Real-Money Auction House in Diablo III that allows users to buy and sell gold. On a related note, gold farming bots just went into overdrive.

As you can probably tell from the above shot, 1 million gold is going for a bit over $3 (USD), or about $0.32 per 100,000 gold. To compare, some cash for gold services are offering 100,000 gold for as little as $0.17 (source: IGN).

Then again, using those non-Blizzard outside sources is against Diablo III's and Battle.net's terms and services and may end up with you being banned.

Gold sales are the latest addition to the RMAH, joining other commodity items such as gems, dyes, crafting materials, plans, designs, and pages of training.
