Medal of Honor: Warfighter Revealed by EA and Danger Close

Set as a sequel to 2010's Medal of Honor title, a new title in development from developer Danger Close. Medal of Honor: Warfighter is slated as a direct sequel to the 2011 title and continues the story of the Tier 1 Operators.

This game will be developed entirely in-house without the assistance of DICE. It will, however, make use of the Frostbyte 2.0 engine, the same game engine at work in Battlefield 3.

More on Warfighter is expected to be shown at GDC 2012 in March. Those not wishing to wait can pick up the newest issue of OXM for more details, interviews, and screenshots.

I THOUGHT WE ALREADY KNEW THIS FROM OUR BF3 COPIES OTHER EA GAME ADVERTISEMENTS? WHY ARE THEY "ONLY" CONFIRMING IT NOW?

Also, wasn't MoH released in 2010?

Good news, that means that the DICEians will not be kept away from BF3 tweaks, while it at the same time gives MoH a chance to define its own identity.

Whatever year it came out it doesn't change that it largely sucked. I guess I should fix that though...

Don't worry, you could have paid $80 or so for the limited edition (though I got a few other games as part of a deal, but I still footed around $100 that day...) because it got a BF3 beta invite, then realise that you didn't register it in time (a month before beta, I got it about 6 months prior, but didn't register it through EA's DL store...) and get zilch apart from a game you barely played MP for because it was so horribly optimised on a Core 2 Duo PC.

I feel the same way. Even if I didnt stil have the scars from the previous MoH, the fact is that I dont really need another miltary shooter.
BF3 + its future DLC should cover that quite nicely for the next year or two.
