BioWare and EA rolled out the 1.1 patch for Star Wars: The Old Republic earlier today. Problem is, it doesn't seem like it was tested all that well. Case in point:
The problem lies in the fact that included in the patch is the ability to farm for Valor against the opposing faction on Illum. There are a few problems with this. First off, many servers are severely imbalanced in terms of Imperial players versus Republic players, greatly favoring the Imperial side. The Valor is apparently farmed from the opposition's turrets and by killing other players.
The turrets respawn nearly instantly and there is no penalty for constantly destroying them over and over again. Spawn camping, as you can see in the video, is essentially a nightmare for anybody on the Republic side.
BioWare has promised that a fix will arrive tomorrow, but if a 283 page thread is any indication, it may be too late for some who have already threatened to quit the MMO.
