ORM Entertainment has been on a multi-year venture to recreate the Titanic as accurately as possible using a variety of game and graphics rendering engines. I don't know exactly when they started on this venture, but I've found videos from them dating back at least until early 2009.
Their latest offering comes courtesy of Cryengine 3 and all of the bells and whistles that accompany that particular game engine. They aren't finished yet, nowhere near finished but what they have to show is incredibly impressive. It's recommended that you crank the video up to at least 720p when viewing.
Very impressive.
You can see a few more of their behind the scenes creation videos on their Youtube channel, including a few Cryengine 2 videos they put up before making the switch to the new engine.
