Flashlights will be a problem in FF on servers, people are already conditioned to shoot at them no matter what.

Radio chatter is pretty good, most games make them sound like robots...there real people, there not reading a script when relaying messages like that.

I was joking with a friend that one of the Marine radio guys sounded like a stoner. My friend, a Marine (I guess your never really a former Marine), corrected me and said that is realistic and pretty much how the officers sound on radio chatter.

The Battlelog forums were much more civilized during the closed alpha. Lot's of good discussions on there. Now, it's just a mess of people complaining about random crap like how Marines don't say "hooah".

lol, official game forums like for BF and COD never last long. Battlefield 2, during their deteriorating patches; BadCo2, on launch when nothing seemed to work; COD4, the guns giving players free perks; MW2, well what wasn't their to complain about; Black Ops, GameServers.com 'nuff said (I won't even touch MoH). On the bright side, this is a good proof of concept beta (poor execution). How is using a flashlight hacking? Aim a few mm over them and get a free headshoot, aim center an spray for the kill.

Well those Battlelog forums sure went down the shitter right quick.

Thread about banning people who use flashlights.

I CANCELED MY PREORDER BECAUSE OF THESE FLASH LIGHTS, SO FUCKING DUMB, AND I DEMAND THAT EA REMOVE THEM RIGHT NOW, SO SIGN THIS PETITION! ALSO, THIS IS A PETITION TO ADD KILL STREAKS IN AND TO BAN ANYONE WHO USES A FLASHLIGHT, I CONSIDER IT HACKING

Admins on the Origin forum are going on a temper tantrum now. I guess one of them even posted some harsh comments about entitlement. I have to call bull on everything they are saying though. I get the same hyper bunny hopping, noob-tubing and spam experience in 24/7 Nuketown with the same number of suspect players. BF2 used Omen as the test bed to show off what the game has to offer, this beta is bull. I am not getting anything out of the beta, my XP is going to be reset and who knows how much of Battlelog will be saved. It was fun to try, but there is no reason to stay and help them out, RUSH is boring, Infantry only is boring. And now they are threatening to BAN entire Origin accounts, games and ALL for going into non sanctioned server, I didn't even hear about this until someone sent me a link to the post, I COULD HAVE GOTTEN MY ACCOUNT BANNED UNKNOWINGLY. The only definition of non sanctioned is anything other than 32 players, Metro and Rush mode; and I would of been oblivious to it if a friend didn't warn me.

I dunno though, compared to CoD, even Dumbed down BF games would feel like the impossible

You know, even if it turns out to be the worst BF of all (Which I highly, highly doubt) I would still get it, BF has got to be my favorite MP game since Smash Bros in N64.

i am still content on buying the game, its a fact that many games when released will have bugs. they get fixed after a patch or a series of patches, for every game released there are patches, really this does not bother me much, i had probs in BC2 and whining like a bitch i found the prob and eliminated it. all in all, EA is getting my money and support. I did the same with KAOS and Tripwire, both companies that try make games for the community and in my opinion passed and they both get my money as well as i own all their titles.

Did someone tried the game on Xbox/PS3? The map is far less chaotic and there's less chokepoints with 24 players (plus maybe the fact it's harder to aim).

I said the same thing on the alpha survey (and another thing...there isn't even a survey or anything similar for the "beta"), but when I said with a few tweaks, I meant serious tweaks. All they changed was the position of the first two M-COMS, added some more cover around both, added more cover around M-COM B in the 2nd stage, and stuck a bus for cover by the last M-COM. I wanted them to add more flanking routes down the sides. I'm okay with the first stage, but the second stage is terrible. It needs some side tunnels.

After reading the rest of the comments, it may not be impossible that Metro did hurt BF3, but Im afraid I still do not believe that people are rushing out cancelling their orders.

Who here has cancelled based on the beta? Only on the beta? Not on the cost, not on because you want a different pre-order bonus, not because of a better price elsewhere, not because the beta showed you your machine cannot run it, but flat out cancelled and are not going to buy because of what you saw how BF3 turned out as a game in the beta.

As others have pointed out there has been a lot of information on larger maps and vehicles and that this is a rush map and I still feel that DICE did a marketing trick with the Caspian border leaks to keep the hype up and to take the worry out of Metro. Why go that route and not just go ahead and have two maps for the beta? I dont know, I think that was kinda stupid myself. Have two maps to show something to the CoD fans and one for the BF fans. That would have been a strategy among strategies, but I am sure some brainiac has it all figured out (thats sarcasm by the way).

And then here I go with my wizard hat and crystal ball:

BF3 is going to have bugs and issues with servers and crashes on release. Anyone who thinks that everything is going to be perfect with all bugs fixed and with no connection problems is insane and should go back to single player games.
