Re: Welcome to Early Access of the Battlefield 3 Open Beta!

personally I've had a blast. There were teething problems but I guess I'm not an entitled bastard who believes everything is going to work right off the bat. Couldn't connect for a while, but tried a couple of times and it worked.

Got a teamkiller on one server, left, then won a game AS ATTACKERS (the escapist forums constantly say 'If you're defending and you fail you may as well stop playing videogames') but other than that its still great. Weapons felt good, they killed when you shot someone with, I couldn't count my FPS (don't have Fraps) but it felt smooth.

tell me, Am I just a tool of EA?

Second, the beta options has a tab to make it full screen on start up. The ALT ENTER is for Battlelog itself.

Third the battlelog site has a lot of great features for yourself and groups of people. I think you dont like the idea of a browser for a game and thats understandable.

Fourth, its a beta. Yeah, it sucks, but thats how it is. It wasnt like that in the alpha so there is a way to fix it.

Fifth, yeah, cause Activision cares so much. At least there is Valve.

Finally, loved the honey badger statement. I just recently saw that on Youtube and its great. Also, I wouldnt buy BF3 for single player only now. If you do, then you deserve what you get.

DICE has never released a game that didnt have issues in the first weeks. Never. You know the track record, be prepared for it.

            Crunch

I did line break; I guess the site didn't want to accept my line breaks . Any who I just noted a bunch of patch notes flew up today and went back in and was mildly pleased with the fixes that came around. I played for a good 1 hour+ and didn't fall through the world, that was my biggest issue with the beta; and see that they have already fixed this for the final product release, that is a good step in their case.

EA has never carded about anyone; nor has many other companies. Valve is the only company off top of my head I can think that has truly cared; along with the makes of the Dead Island game and a few other that I don't know the names of off top of my head.

I will give the battleblog that it is an interesting concept to design the game around and does make for some cool stuff; but I still wish they would give us the option to either handle our server stuff in-game or outside of the game (maybe they will, maybe they won't, who knows). I will give it that it is kinda cool to see your friends achievements and stuff on it; that about all that amused me on the site; other than that it mildly is more of a bother to me.

haha, glad you enjoyed the honey badger comment, I figured a bit of humor in my rare posting of a bash on this site was well needed . And yes I know DICE's long line of endless problems; BFBC2 being the last one that pissed of me off the most the first 6 months haha. But from the looks of the patch notes and the feedback they seem to be "Fixing" things at least or attempting to. I'll give them the 6month after the market date to see where it stands.

I'm honestly looking forward to the Co-Op and SP; I've always been interested in those. As far as the MP after playing tonight I'm a bit more generally pleased in the direction of the game is going; meaning that I'm not falling through the world. I am though curious to if anyone else has some odd animations when getting knifed or doing the knifing; only thing I was noticing that was glitchy; but oh well... beta is beta. I'll await my final opinion after 6month of market time on the final product.

            Mmm break-lines are working .

I should have known on the line breaks. You probably posted from the main page. It does that to me too on occassion.

Ya; I'll keep in mind to click on the post before posting in the future. So far I'm a bit more impressed (I left my remarks) on the patch note post. I think this is the first time I've seen DICE take actions to fixing things in the first couple days of a beta.
