Minimum and Recommended Requirements Revealed for Battlefield 3
There once was a tweet about smth in the lines of "if you can run bfbc2 you wont have any problems with bf3"... I'm afraid that saying just got expired.
Re: Minimum and Recommended Requirements Revealed for Battlefield 3
Ladies and Germs, just an FYI the Nvidia 500 series is just a rev 2 Nvidia 400 series. Besides slightly faster clocks they also feature a new color which runs quieter. Everything else from pipes to streaming processors is the same on relative series card, 460=>560 470=>570 480=>580. Not like going from the 6 series to the 7 and then the 8, same deal as the 8 to 9 series, just a revision. The 500 do run cooler and about 10-15% faster. Don't ask me where the 465 fits in.

Yeah, I never heard anyone say you wont have a problem running BF3 because you ran BC2. In fact, from the TGN BF3 facts page:
Q: Can my system run Battlefield 3?
A: We currently do not know the system requirements. Its a safe bet that if your system ran Bad Company 2 on high, it can run Battlefield 3 on medium
Which I can say that to be true as I played BC2 on high and BF3 in the Alpha ran very well for me on medium. GTX470 is my card.
