I just heard from an internal tester that you can probably run on "Low". If your CPU is like, any good at all, you MAY be able to run on medium.

I have a Core 2 Duo @ 2.54ghz.

I think I'll be better holding off on buying this one until I buy a new rig...

the graphics do look dated, but gameplay is what matters here. i havent yet bought a ro game, but this one might be the first.

Gameplay comes first except in very specific games. That's exactly why I play RO anyway, for its excellent gameplay and modding capability.
