Beta for Black Ops Mod Tools Now Live

Some of you may remember my posting this news back in April about mod tools in May.

Well, a new update about Black Ops mod tools has been released by PCDev on Twitter:

Ladies and gentlemen, Mod Tools Beta is live on Steam now. #codblackops #pc #modtools

A few questions have also been answered about the tools:

Some folks aren't seeing them yet...hang on...they will show up under "Tools"

@oMeGuttural Look for "MOD FTP" on the Info tab of your gameservers control panel.

@DsiveRuSH yes, you can upload mods to unranked servers via gamerservers control panel.

So it looks like mod tools are for unranked servers and should be accessable through the gameservers control panel. PCDev has been asigned the task of keeping the community up to date on the tools, so be sure to check out his twitter site for more information.

:rofl: Yeah. I know its been a while, but some early reports coming in is that they are very decent tools and from what i have read, the items in the tools work in the other CoD games as well, making it possible to add things to the previous titles. Minus MW2 of course.

Also, no map creator yet, but they say they are working on that.

Need to build mah i7 PC so I can play Black ops with less lag.
