But the complaints are that too many people play as sniper and camp, not that playing as a sniper is too easy. Even though half a team usually plays as recon, very few of those snipers are actually any good. It seems to me that they are trying to get less people to play as sniper by making it impossible to play as, which is just flawed logic IMO. It was hard to play as in BC2 and people still played as it. They need to find another lay to reduce the number of snipers, maybe by adding in class limits or something.

Again with the nerfing, hah. You create incentives to play as other classes by making other classes better.

Yes, that's why I said strange because it seems there's some complaints from somewhere about players that hate being killed by snipers from afar, something I never heard in BF. In some interviews you can hear about that (when someone at Dice talk about the different way of balancing sniping).

And lets not forget that even for maps no bigger than a small parking lot there wasn't any tipe of bullet time. The shots were pretty mutch lazers.

Also will there be 3d spotting in bf3? or will it be bf2 minimap style? And dont tell me there will be no commo-rose... I miss beeing able to use my q and t to communicate....

Balance of course. The same reason that a 7.62 from a sniper rifle does way more damage than a 7.62 from a LMG.

Did I miss who would be ammo support? Though it must be the former Medic-class as this is the only one without a support function. So basically 2142 setup. I am not really sure about that since all attackers would now be able to revive one another.
I do like the whole coverfire-part. As the player in general does not care much for their own life as they would re-spawn within 15 sec. they are more likely to throw themselves into the frey to maybe get a lucky hit on an advancing foe. If their eyes and ears are empaired by the coverfire it actually makes sence to provide it.

you can get bipods on sniper rifles, Demize said it in one of his twitter replies

which I imagine will alleviate sway etc

sounds to me like they are trying to increase the depth of skill behind being a wookie (although wookie is gone, replace by face towel) thus playing towelie will be harder but more alternatives on how to play may be available?

I just hope I can play towelie with an AR or carbine, like spec ops in BF2

no idea at the moment, wookie suit might be unlockable etc

but in current build, such as one shown at E3, recon pretty much looked like other soldiers, just with a nice big face wrap

got to make sure the harsh wind does not dry out his face after all, can't unlock moisturiser in BF3

Sniper did need to get balanced because it was to easy, especially for me to snipe someone across the map. Even a small sway will make sniping over extremely long distances harder because a slight sway and you'll miss. That means they need to get closer to the battlefield.

" Did "spot assistant," but I never pressed any button so it seems to be automatic."

Is spotting automatic? That doesn't sound bad considering no-one but me ever does it even on full servers. I just hope it's not to easy to spot either... You know when your randomly running and all of a sudden you point your crosshair in the distance and spam Q and spot someone out of the blue.

a form of auto spotting would be bad if 3D spotting was like it was in BC2

                          very bad

why is there such a problem with sniper?..they dont have body armour, they dont have auto weapons(until now),there usually easy to knife.

Why dont dice make just one class and we can all run around with m60s at ten paces(aka cod)

Will this stop M2 on infantry?no
                            Will it stop noob tubers?no
                            will it stop shotgun sniping?no

Some people like to run around spraying with their best mate/lover medic next to them 24/7 reving them as they die but i like to play a much slower game.

basicall stop F*kn with the working formular dice!

Also, if thats the case, then only 1942 didnt have claymores, which I would think it would make claymores part of Battlefield.

At least the Vietcong had some tripwire traps; I don't remember any of the US guys having something similar.

Correct. The Assault class has the med kit and the Support class has the ammo, like in BF2142.
