Atmosphere, if you feel like your really in a hole with bullets flying over it will feel more real.

Do you think maybe all the old farts who are never satisfied with anything that does not meet up to the glory and perfection that was BF2 would be happier if they just re-released BF2? Don't need to change ANYTHING at all. Just call it BF3 but use the same freaking box art and all identical gameplay and graphics. I think that's what they want.

It does make me wonder actually if their real reason for not releasing mod tools for BC2 was BECAUSE people would make those exact BF2 maps that people mentioned, therefore questioning the ability to release them as DLC later on a different engine or not.

Im not holding out much hope for mod tools straight away but i dont think they will be held back completely this time.

We can only go by what DICE said about BC2 mod tools and that was that the FB1.5 engine was too hard to make them or mods from it.

I personally do not expect to see mod tools.

I dont know. I know a lot of modders hated the tools and quite, but I dont know if thats because of the tools or because of other factors, like no one playing their mods.

I find it funny how so many people complained about lack of mod support in BF2 when they fail to realise that mod tools were and are a dying breed. Not every developer is valve or old school Dice, guys!

Hell, I know of games that were modded quite well with very little mod resources, like STALKER being modded for Singleplayer (its very much a SP game for those who dont know) with the poorly implemented multiplayer (which basically had NO mods for) SDK.

im glad they didnt spend money on a sweet box art cover becasue who really gives a shiiii.

also, if they didnt release mod tools for frostbite 1.0 why in the world would you think they would for frostbite 2.0?
