Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike Trailer
W@W was the last of the free. Why would anyone think it would be free now? Is it hope?

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike Trailer
Considering BO actually has dedi servers, config editing, mod support coming (supposedly, people have made smaller mods already though) and most of the stuff MW2 didn't have I'd say there's a microscopical chance of them being free. If there's a sponsor like intel ready to pay up.Originally posted by CptainCrunchIs it hope?Comment

I think there is hope. I expect it would be very hard for them to stop piracy of the maps. It couldn't happen in MW2 because of IW.Net. But there are dedicated servers now.Battlelog/Origin ID - Hurricane043Comment

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops - First Strike Trailer
Maybe if they needed the money, I'd understand. But that's not the case.
It's like Kotick got a taste of a lot of money from MW2, and only needs more at the expense of customer loyalty. But the problem with that is not many people pay any attention to the game's devs or publisher, so they could just slap a new name on it and probably get away with it. After they've driven the Call of Duty name into the ground of course.Comment
