Maintenance Work on Tuesday

On Tuesday the 25th of January we are going to do a bit of maintenance work on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC during these hours:

2:00 am PDT - 5:00 am PDT
5:00 am EST - 8:00 am EST
10:00 GMT - 13:00 GMT
11:00 CET - 14:00 CET

The purpose is to improve performance of the stats system, to reduce/eliminate stats outages. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.

Mikael Kalms from DICE posted a great thread on the stats issues on the EA UK forums. Check it out right here.

The article posted up goes into a lot of detail about how the stat system works. Its an interesting article to read and if you take the time to do so, you should go a step further in getting information about the equipment and OS they are using. It may "enlighten" you.

"Hi I am a friendly dev who is dishing you straight truth. We run old hardware, old software, and we haven't even optimized the database tables. Well, they did part 2 of the maintenance work. The posted it up on the blog really late, even though the date and time says otherwise, and now the work is done.

So SURPRISE! Maintenance work done.
