If they do show actual gameplay it'll be for xbox 360.

I'm expecting a pre-rendered movie with a handful of "bullshots" released.

Nah, it will be PS3 gameplay. That's their dev platform.

But yeah, it will probably be a CGI video that shows a squad working together. You know, things that never happen in the real game.

where at 0:19 you see a PRONED sniper and the game has no prone...

But they said they removed prone for balance purpose, not because they didn't had time to add prone or anything else.

As for the trailer in itself it was the same for BF2, you had better explosion and sounds, laser guided missile. blackhawk with rockets etc.

Trailers are always like that, though. Look at the trailer for BF2142:

Now, when was the last time you saw anyone actually use a gun on the Titan, much less the whole team doing it. In reality it's RDX, APM, and nadespam aplenty.

BTW, how funny is it that half of the BC2142 trailer shows vehicles being blown up and blowing other things up when the game is over 90% infantry? It's like, 'Yeah, you want this cool game that has tanks and helos and ATVs and stuff! Play BC2! They're...erm...sort of in there, I guess!'

The 1942 trailer is just as misguiding as all the other games trailers, lol. If not more.

Yep, I'm sure they have made prone but removed it for balance issue on the consoles versions and didn't wanted to make efforts on the PC version and peharps because they didn't wanted to fix people with their feet clipping through walls just like all other BFs before.

The moment I found out BF3 isn't PC exclusive is the moment lost a lot of interest in it.

It's going to be a console port, no matter how much they try to convince you that it won't.

EA/DICE are stuck on the idea of beating CoD... they won't and in the process ruin the once amazing game.

Isn't it sad we're asking for features that were in BF2? Not even anything new, just the features that were in BF2......

Actually yeah, that is kind of sad. The things most being asked for are things that were in BF2 and to not include half of the things that they added to BC2. It's like instead of us expecting them to make a great game, we're instead simply hoping that they manage not to fark it up.

I'm trying to remain optimistic, though. I have a month and a half to drink the Kool-Aid, after which point we'll know whether we're getting BF3 or BC3.

Prone wasn't removed for balance issues. It was removed for pacing issues. They believed removing prone would speed up the pace of the game, which to a degree it did. But I doubt it will work in BF3. Prone is needed, along with giant 64 man maps for snipers to hide in the grass on.
