Today, we'd like to inform you that as of now, PC players can get the SPECACT kit upgrades for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. These kit-specific uniforms and camouflaged weapons are sold in a bundle on EA Store for $5,50 / £3,99 / €4,99.

So are they actually just skins? I was in a server and someone mentioned that the gun stats are actually different...

Yes it seems, especially the MG-3. Peharps because they are counted as separate weapons and not skins and Dice forgot to brought the recents buff/nerf of their counterpart.

That would be awesome... because the original M16 was awesome. If thats true I would buy it. :P

In all honesty, it seems to be the case, I was killing people really far away in two bursts, I was like wtf I had to fire at least 4 bursts at that distance (and I have the platinum on the M16, earned recently).

Yea, but I feel like all they did was nerf the close range damage on the M16.

If you mean as in extra slot for magnum ammo, extra grenades ect... No not at all, just very fine skin for my guns.

They can only attach as many add-ons as the regular gun.

Technically that is true. You can setup a regular medic kit with one set of unlocks and then chose the specact medic kit and have different chosen unlocks. You can also use the skinned weapons in any kit.

Yeah I did. I always liked the idea of changing uniforms and it doesnt give any advantage by purchasing it.

I can say that the US medic colors look a lot like the Russian Assault colors, which I almost killed a guy on my team because of that.

Still not fun as Hidden and Dangerous 2, you could take an artic camouflage in a desert map for the lulz.
