Wow if they have enough time to bring out an expansion pack for BC2 then why can't they release BF1943 for pc? It is probably roughly the same size as the expansion and same price. Or is this closest thing to BF1943 that, we the pc gamers, will ever play?

No disc distribution, it'll be available through EA download service for sure, maybe through Steam but you might still have to use EA download manager to get it.

This is exactly what they plan on doing (this was confirmed on the UK forums that the next patch wouldn't be till they release the Vietnam DLC), there's also a rumor there might be a beta test of the patch plus one map from Vietnam DLC pack through fileplanet.

I think this is good news. It will be fun fighting in this style with destructable environments. I think the price is good. With all the hype this expansion was getting I thought they were going to come out with a $40 price tag and say how its practically a new game with all these different weapons and settings and whatnot.

Also, with so many people seeming to be getting it, there may actually be servers to play it on

Not to mention being able to play Vietnam right through BC2 without having to launch it seperately, and being able to rank up just as usual. Good thinking on DICE's part.
