Putting the DICE Touch in Medal of Honor

This just in from the BF Blog:

DICE knows multiplayer. When EALA needed veterans to develop the multiplayer modes for Medal of Honor, they called on us. Patrick Liu is the producer for Medal of Honor here at DICE:

"You'll definitely see the DICE touch in Medal of Honor multiplayer, where we bring the experience from the Battlefield series and our sensibilities in game design. The tweaks we have done are mostly to focus more on the infantry experience and close quarter combat.

For example, we have created Objective Raid, the quickest multiplayer mode ever at DICE -- a time limited and asymmetric mode where the defending team is protecting two military installations against an overwhelming number of attackers. It's really a relentless fight with no rest for either team!"

For the full info on Medal of Honor and to watch the new kickass trailer for the Objective Raid game mode, make the jump to the official Medal of Honor blog.

It's a $60 expansion pack with new maps, modes, and guns.

Also, shouldn't this be in the MoH community?

Well, they're going to allow PC gamers to get an updated beta to try out before the closed beta begins on October 12.

Looks like they have improved on quite a bit since the last beta/alpha release.

:hmm: Guess that means we can't have a sabotage mode or it's CS:S with a different name.

"rush mode" is nothing new in the first place. although it looks like the taliban are using the good ol' russian style "human wave attack" i do hope there are more than one path to the objective because this video looks like chaos

The description says all in game footage, except there are obviously some scripted event like sliding across the floor and a Taliban guy shooting his AK from behind a pillar. So they are lying about it already...

I dont know if thats a lie. The animations could make the soldier look like that. If you watch players in BC2, they look like they are doing more than what we really see. Kinda like the rolling animation in BF2 that only the other player saw.

1:00 is scripted. Unless they have implemented a Mafia II type "take cover" system it's fake.

I think DICE are cutting back on their attention to sound which they've always been known for too... The sound of the Apaches cannon in this vid isn't very realistic. More like "generic cannon sound 11064327".

It could be. It could also be single player. There is another beta in October and we can look into that a little more and see.

That's a SP video... DICE only does MP for MoH.

Sounds did not impress - just gun sounds.

Making EALA do their own sounds for singleplayer is a completely mental idea. Surly, DICE being the big "sound man" should do all the sounds as most of them will be used in multiplayer.
