Only "Call of Duty: Black Ops" buyers with $150 to drop on a Prestige Edition will be able to grab a radio-controlled spy car with their game, but you'll have to choose between retailers if you want one of Amazon.com or GamesStop's pre-order incentives. The new franchise installment comes out on November 9, and depending on who you reserved your copy with, you could take home some artwork or an avatar costume.<!--more-->
Amazon's deal includes a limited edition "laser cell" (limited to a mere print run of 100,000 copies). The print will ship along with the actual game, but Amazon will send you a desktop wallpaper image to tide you over until November. If you wait too long and all 100,000 of them find owners, though, you're going to be out of luck.
Meanwhile, if you pre-order with GameStop, they'll issue you a code good for a free avatar flight suit on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. The only catch is that you'll have to redeem the code by September 30, according to their website.
The flight suit definitely strikes me as the more compelling of these two deals. However, if you really, really need a new desktop image and have a barren area on your real-world wall that's in need of a "Black Ops" image, Amazon should get your money. Think hard on it, but be sure to make your choice in the next few weeks before all of those cells sell out.
