QuakeCon 2010 has officially kicked off today, beginning with the currently live keynote from John Carmack. If you're reading this news right now (at roughly 5PM EST), you can catch the rest of the keynote right here.

Steam is also having a special QuakeCon 2010 sale underway. From today until August 15th, a "QuakeCon 2010" pack is on sale for $69.99 (USD). This includes 27 items: Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Commander Keen, DOOM 3, DOOM 3 Resurrection of Evil, DOOM II, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, Final DOOM, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, HeXen II, HeXen: Beyond Heretic, and HeX.
Each day of the event will hold a super-special sale for one item. Today's sale is for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion at 66% off of its regular price. Pick up the GOTY edition for $6.79 or the GOTY Deluxe edition for $8.49.
