Wait, you have to pay for this? No new maps, no new content, just an AI game mode, and they charge...

....and now I have my reason to officially 'retire' Bad Company 2. It was fun while it lasted.

I'll go back to having nightmares of Battlefield 3 as a Wii exclusive with intense 4 vs 4 server capacity (non-dedicated ofcourse).

And just so I don't look entirely crazy, take Red Dead Redemption for example, a multi-platform game that's had a lot of success, they are releasing a new Co-Op mode/content to the game for free:

      http://majornelson.com/archive/2010/...pack-free.aspx

      BC2 ****ty, brainless Co-Op: $10
      RDR additional content Co-Op: Free

Seems pretty obvious to me how ****ing brutal EA/DICE are. BC2 might be the last DICE game I ever buy. Unfortunately EA runs too large of a monopoly for me to boycott, there wouldn't be many games left.

What do you mean "investigating"? I like playing co-op, at least this way when I shoot some one they don't bunny hop, and they die.[COLOR="Silver"]

This isn't really anything new for EA/DICE, ever since BF1942 Road To Rome they've been charging for extra content. Although at least BF1942 had a lot of free content in patches as well (several good maps and vehicles), in addition to mod support (Desert Combat, Forgotten Hope etc.).

Hopefully new free maps are coming, I'll probably have lost interest in the game altogether by that point though.

Yeah I can't understand this, it's a lot like BF1943, they've mentioned how they want to add more maps/different theater to that game. By the time they get around to that (let alone releasing a PC version), the game will have been long dead. I don't understand why they wouldn't have fully supported BF1943 until the community gets bored of it, then move to BC2 and do the same thing. They're basically providing content for dead games, which is a letdown to their customers and also pretty much a waste of time/money for them. I don't think anyone here would argue that EA/DICE have some of the worst managing strategies in video game history.

they don't have a solution for PC as they don't want to go dedicated server for just 4 players.

but why don't they program it so that onslaught on PC plays peer to peer? who's gonna pay for 4 player onslaught servers?
