    Prepare for the Onslaught

This just in from the BF Blog:

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is bringing Battlefield's first co-op mode to consoles with Onslaught mode. Up to 4 players can tackle the new objective based missions posting your best times on the co-op leaderboards as well as the chance to obtain new achievements and trophies. Onslaught will be available from June 22nd on Xbox 360 for 800 MS Points and on the PlayStation Network in North America for $9.99 followed by the European PlayStation Network on June 23rd for 8.99€.

If you were to play Onslaught in picture form it would look something like this:

Also this month, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Kit Shortcuts will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for those players who don't have time to spend levelling up to unlock all the kit specific items but still want to be competitive with those who have unlocked everything. The Kit Shortcuts will give you the unlocks available for kit each kit while still allowing you to progress through the ranking system as normal and will be available for 560 MS Points/$6.99 individually or if you want the whole bundle of kit shortcuts including the 7 available vehicle unlocks, 1600 MS Points on Xbox Live and $19.99/17.99€. The Kit Shortcuts will be available on Xbox Live Worldwide and European PlayStation Network from 16th June with the North American PlayStation Network having access to the shortcuts from 22nd June.

Poor guy, have some rep for your trouble.

See, I dont just lock threads, I also give rep

OT - These shortcuts kinda take the fun out of the game, dont you think? How much to unlock all the platinum stars and level 50? How much for an AI to play the game for me?

That's what I thought of at first. My wife used to make me do the hard parts of game for her. She paid me in... favors.

If they can't care enough to play long enough to get the unlocks, why would they pay more to have the unlocks right away?

My reaction = :shakehead: I can't even think someone will pay 20$ for something like that (unlocking weapons, I have yet to see what the Onslaught mode is like).

Yeah that's right just make new stuff for consoles while the PC version is totally broken.

console is where the money is £7.50 for a new game mode but still the same maps (ermm .. i think i'll pass) and £15 to unlock all the weapons (seems to defeat the object of the multiplayer game to me, you play it to rank up and reap the reward of unlocking an item .. well for me it is anyway ) .. plus another £4 for the spec unlocks ...

so all in all if you were to buy the game at retail price :

              £40 bfbc2
              £4 spec upgrade kits
              £15 full unlock weapons
£7.50 for a new game mode

              total price £66.50

              pc version £30 ...

Hmmmmmmm and people wonder why consoles get priority ..

Well if they don't release NEW maps soon their won't be anyone still playing this game. I use to think so highly of DICE!!!

It can be fun, but not at this small scale.

DICE really are plucking at my last straws now. This to me is as big a sell out as the map packs were for MW2. There has been no mention of the PC update and its development in weeks and quite frankly i have lost all hope in DICE in the past few months.
