This just in from the BF Blog:

On June 9th, VIP Map Pack 3 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 bringing new modes to Nelson Bay and Laguna Alta.



Fight for control of the M3A3 Bradley and achieve supremacy against 3 other squads as Nelson Bay is enhanced with Squad Deathmatch mode.

Use all of your squad skills and tactics to secure M-COM stations as Laguna Alta is enhanced with Squad Rush mode.



The map pack is available with the VIP code which is included in every new copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Players that do not have a code can purchase one via the in-game store.

PC will get the maps available for all players after the release of the next update without the need for a VIP code.

I love how they act like it's a huge favor to not require VIP codes for the PC to unlock modes on existing maps.
It's not possible for us to sell our copies of the game anyway...

THAT SUCKS! We need a new map not another remake. It's a great game but I can't wait for a new FPS already. Without new maps or a mod community this game is getting old.

poo, i was hoping dice wouldent pull this crap again. i have switched from playing conquest to rush mode in search for map variety, but after a few days they are getting old. i really dont want to play anything else, but when it becomes painful to play bc2 im going to have to look elsewhere.

So here we get yet another MODE Pack in which DICE gives us the exact same maps, but in different game modes. Might as well just unlock all existing maps for use on any game mode, cause that's exactly what will eventually happen with the future Map Pack 4, Map Pack 5 etc

Give us NEW maps, NEW patches and fix the problems of the game please. All these delays with the so-called "strikes" preventing QA results from getting to the developers, is just pissing off what little community might still remain.

I for one have enjoyed the game for the most part, but I refuse to fly a chopper when they are currently literally "flying death-traps". Been waiting almost a month now for the patch that adds the missing FLARES that should have existed from 1.0. Furthermore, the game is still suffering from a strong weapon imbalance, which essentially has shifted most players into playing either Recon (with Mortar Strikes), or Engineers (with Carl Gustav). No Anti-Tank weapon in the history of modern warfare (or any warfare of any age), was meant to be used as a melee weapon, which the CG has essentially been assigned to in this game.

They might as well do away with all the rifles and pistols and sniper rifles, since in any given match, the most commonly used weapon is explosives, whether it be C4, "noob tubes" or Carl Gustav's.

Woo-Hoo unlock two maps for modes not everyone cares or plays much. New maps are what we need not unlocks. Even if you convert some of the old bf2 maps it would still be fun. Warlord anyone??

I thought they kept bragging about being better than MW2? At least Modern Warfare actually gets new maps!

Wouldn't a more accurate description be Battlefield Bad Company 2 VIP Mode Pack 3?

Calling it a "Map Pack" is basically sticking an old whore in a new dress and trotting her out to a new corner.

Damn me for falling for EA's lies again.
