Modern Warfare 2 Players Moving To Bad Company 2

In what is sure to be a serious blow to Activision, it appears as if the gaming community has had enough of their Modern Warfare fix, and are now looking for something new. Fortunately for EA, that something new just happens to be their fantastic shooter, Battlefield Bad Company 2. A recent report gives us these statistics:

It will be interesting to see if this trend keeps up, and if BC2 will fulfill its role as the "Modern Warfare killer."

looks to me like its been doing what it has been doing since 1/1/2010, not because bc2 came out

Well you can tell that it dropped significantly when the demo/beta was announced and was then released. Then when the full game came out the numbers dropped even worse for MW2. TBH i never bought MW2, stood by what i said and never even bother because of no dedicated servers. Saved me 60$

Probably due to the issues of the game. If the chart continues you will probably see a spike up after some patches.

I'm reading that chart differently. More than double are still playing MW2 and BC2 is sliding at the same rate of decent. I'm more worried about our own line rather than MW2 tbh.

Hell, I havent played MW2 ever since I went back to BF2 because I need a new graphics card to play BC2...

That isn't an accurate interpretation of this graph.

MW2 still has double the number of players and BC2 is trending down on the same rate. Its like celebrating getting your arse kicked at a slightly smaller level.
