Battlefield wins two awards at this years Swedish Games Awards

This just in from the BF Blog:

Yesterday DICE featured twice in this years Swedish Games Awards at Grodan Sergel in Stockholm taking home both awards we were nominated for.

Battlefield 1942 won Best Swedish game of the decade

Battlefield 1943 won Best Swedish game of the year

EA also won a couple of other awards with Dark Age Origins winning Best RPG and FIFA 10 winning Best Sports game.

For the Swedish speakers amongst you, check out the award ceremony including an interview with Lars Gustavsson - http://www.press2play.tv/rekommender...pelsgalan-2010

BF1942 was the best one. It was all down hill from there.

BF1942 was the all time great, but nobody plays that anymore because BF2 is a little more up to date.

1942 was revolutionary, V was alright, 2 was amazing, 2142 was more of the same, Heroes was a flop, BC2 is lacking.

Well, BC2 won't be getting any awards until it's multitude of issues are fixed first. Except Marketing. Good job EA with selling so many copies of Beta software a $50 - $60 a pop :/

                      Nobody? http://game-monitor.com/search.php?s...m=30&x=48&y=10

1942 is still my overall favorite BF game, but does lack squads and some of the newer infantry combat features.

Indeed, Yeah, 2 was disappointing, 2142 was an improvement albeit rushed, Heroes... is free, BC2 is the best for infantry combat.

BC2 is bundles of fun. The destruction makes me a happy camper, though I wish something could be done about that player count.

1943 made baby jesus sad. It was like the Twilight Zone - I knew every inch of the maps but they weren't the right size. Iwo Jima was a postage stamp.
