Awesome! I already go to town with pretty much a WW2 era kit. M1A1 Thompson & Colt 1911 for mass effect.

So then there is BC2. Everyone talking about how much it takes to kill someone. Former BC1 players said its way better and actually takes less. People complained and complained and what does DICE do? They've now decided to increase it by one less bullet to kill. We wont know if that is really better or not until the game is released and/or patch applied. DICE has tested it and maybe everything did work out fine with this 25% increase, but by changing one aspect of the game, it has a ripple effect.

        *snip*

So, has DICE started watering down the game because of the complaints or is this good and OK and not the signs of nerfing everything?

Oh, and more powerful weapons means n00bs can kill easier

        Crunch
BC1 could have been so much more fun if it didn't take 10 bullets to kill someone. It really brakes the flow of gameplay...

Its true that its easier for beginner players to get kills, but that also means there is room for improvement, this way skilled players (instead of being stuck skillwise because its just aim -> shoot for ten mintues at a single target (even if you always "aim for the head") -> repeat) can get more kills and be able to engage targets faster.

But you also don't want it to get to the level of CoD4 HC mode, where every gun kills with 1 bullet to the foot... then the game really does become a "noob fest." as you would call it.

That works both ways, more powerful weapons also means n00bs can die easier.

As long as there is a significant accuracy penalty for running around spraying it should be fine IMO.

The n00b thing was a joke because someone usually says it. I don't believe in n00bs. I believe in *** hats the ruin a game for being smacktards, but Ive seen more "Pro" players be that then actual newbies to the game.

Fair enough, I've heard that comment made about COD4's hardcore mode a few times before.

In COD4 it's easy to run around spraying UZIs accurately in combination with high damage/low health, but it's still a mutual thing.

Skills are distinguished in other aspects like tactics, situational awareness and reaction time.

I assume the weapon damage is mostly for the PC beta. It was supposed to have the same damage as console(IMO was perfect). I'm wondering if the damage will now be similar or greater than the console damage? Does this also relate to HC? HC in the beta was perfect IMO. So satisfying when the kills don't take a whole year. Plus the recoil from the weapons don't make the kills feel cheap.

**BTW I am not playing the beta today (24th) since I want to be fully excited for the full game. The anticipation is always the part of new games! :)

Crunch, the problem with C4 was that you could throw it around a very long distance if you "winded up" the throw, you could throw it further than you could noobtube effectively; and you could detonate the charges in midair while you dolphin dove; making it impossible to kill the spec ops that was practically a walking artillery attack.

And the Clark was never "too weak" it was too slow! too slow! and DICE took out a bit of punch, added some distance, made the spread tighter and made it double tap capable! DICE made a perfect shotgun; it takes 3 center hits to kill beyond 50 meters, 2 over 30 and one hit under 20 on any part of the body; but the thing is still SLOW to reload; so it balances out.
Originally, the Clark would be one shot to kill, no matter what, under 20 meters, but you could never face more than one enemy at a time; unless they were walking closely, since you could kill up to three people with a single shot. A very high spread made it so that you could shoot forward and kill people standing behind you pretty much; but your shotgun had a fire rate more alike of that of a tank. a very slow tank. On sleep pills. Zzzzzzz.

Yes, then they took it down a notch and people relized that they could complain and get things nerfed. Now you cant throw it at all.

I remember. Regardless it had no effect because people took a round while being knifed in the face. DICE upped it and made it an effective shotgun and then everyone couldnt get those easy kills and started complaining about it being overpowered, which I also do not think so.

Thats funny, with the Clark I remember you had to aim for the neck to get a kill?

An update on this. Demize posted on his twitter a few days ago that the boost never happened. It was inadvertently left off.

                        Thoughts on this? Any?

Play the Xbox version and then play the PC version. Tell me if you notice a difference in damage between the two.

You tell me. Demize himself said it did not happen. Is he wrong or are the two games not the exact same after all?

Shoot, I was hoping you had both. I see what you are saying, they didnt believe in the disconnect issues either until they left their test environment and found that lag and disconnects were actually happening.

Anyone have both and can confirm/deny this?
