Bad Company 2 Technical Field Manual Is Online

EA has posted up a "field manual" for Bad Company 2. The manual contains just about everything in the game along with a few suggestions. It looks like all maps, weapons, and vehicles are listed. You need an EA or Xbox live account to access it.

Where is your source? I can find nothing stating how many maps.

This is an EA site. The #1 thing that tells me so is that it links to the EA accounts. The #2 thing is what Sepp and Dan posted up on the DNS information.

The site may not be complete. It looks like it is to me, but Ive been wrong before.

One of the devs tweeted something like "16 unique multiplayer maps" for the game. It's pretty obvious that there's only 8 maps each with 2 unique game modes. I can't be bothered with searching for the "official" tweet.

now it seems there's a bit of backtracking going on.

@repi How many maps at launch? We've had rumors like 8,10,12,16 and 18. So confusing for fans,

yeh looked through it earlier

interesting things

under Submachine guns - inclusion of the M4A1 carbine (I'm no gun expert, but a carbine isn't supposed to be an SMG?), but I guess its just classed as an engineer weapon perhaps, nonetheless, haven't seen that gun before

and the Spas15, was in the PS3 beta, but not the PC one

perhaps there are still some surprises in store

I think "Ladebildschirme" is loadingscreens, so there is no guarantee that the actual maps are present in a finished state. And the same goes from the map describtions others have found.
But it still look promising. After seeing the Beta map I was fearing that the maps would be just as bland and featureless as in BF2142 with only snow, sand and concrete, but htere seems to be a good variety.
