    Bad Company 2 Demo Preview

First the Xbox 360 demo is out now. You can find it on Xbox Live.

Second EA posted up a new video showing the demo for the Xbox 360 and Playsation 3:

    <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2WOO97Lc6pI&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2WOO97Lc6pI&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

Looking really good. A lot of great sounds and action on the demo. What are your thoughts?

Intense. I especially like how the chopper fell after being hit.

Will this demo be seeing a PC release?

            This is my guess only;

Because thats what the game was designed for.

But the game is NOT a port. Noooo. Bad.

I think I read that the PS3 demo wlll be out around Feb. 11th.

On February 4th, the demo will be accessible on the PlayStation®Network in Europe and on February 11th in North America.

Because the 360 has 3 cores and doesn't have to overhead windows.

Dedicated gaming machines are the future, get on with it.

It has its own OS overhead, you dont get Media Center, Direct X, Harddrives, and network for free.
Consoles are doing well for now, but the PC will start to outperform them more and more until the next generation is released.
So dont be too sure on how the future looks.

That looks so awesome. Can't decide which one to get if for: PC, PS3 or 360?

Thats not all correct. Besides, it's not to replace the PC, it's to be used for gaming and an extender for the home theater.

I'll also add that live service is a great deal considering.

Example: The fix list and problems with the network on beta PC launch.

Demo on LIVE: No issues. One reason is because a 3rd party, the one you pay, Over looks the whole process and makes sure you are getting a stable product.

You get what you pay for.

As far as the future go's.

Computers have hit a wall, Light only travels so fast.
Thats why you are seeing multi cores.

Your also seeing alot of games go back to cartoon type graphics. WOW, Red Steel 2
Because people are starting to understand that creating a fun and life like experience has more to do with life like movements than it does with life like visuals.

As far as Tactical Destruction vs Player count go's, it's all about the bandwidth. Which Dedicated game machine vs or multi use machine, has nothing to do with.

People are tired of spending the price of an 360 to upgrade the PC to play a game. When even then, the experience isn't stable.

Theres never a shutter or slow down because of the hardware on the 360. Even a lag spike is rare.

Thats what is depicting the future. Not the raw power of which has more potential.

The Xbox certainly has its own OS. There are also external QC for PC products, no difference here
You get what you pay for.
By that logic, a expensive PC is better than a console?

I am not aware of any wall, Intel and AMD keeps on turning out faster chips. And parralellism and optical computers can take over when the current desgng fails.

The most hyped games have better and better graphics. And the consumers seems to want it. Just hear them whine if a game doesnt show better graphics than its predecessor

You still have to run the game client on your local hardware, which also most be able to handle the model on top of the graphics

That is true, and I even used the same reasoning for buing the first generation XBOX myself.
But time moved on the games became dated and I became tired of paying 30% extra for my games.

Theres never a shutter or slow down because of the hardware on the 360. Even a lag spike is rare.
That is not because the 360 has exceptional hardware, but because the game is written to work well on that hardware. PC games will aslo run stutterfree if they are aimed at five year old hardware
                          .

Besides all that, you see more and more consoles becoming PCish and not the other way around.

The thing with PC is that many people do not know how to make their PC gaming/home entertainment savvy. They go to Best Buy or wherever and buy the cheapest thing they can find or the most overpriced thing and then expect it to do all this stuff out of the box when they never did any research or have the know-how to actually do the things they want.

Its like the PS3 and blu-ray. Its cheaper to buy a PS3 than a blu-ray player (maybe not know, havnt checked) so many of my friends have bought PS3s and only watch movies off of them. People buy consoles because its all-in-one. Its easy. If it crashes, you reboot it and dont worry about it. Virus? What virus? Extra software? No way. What do I need to play this game? Oh, thats right, the Xbox 360 and thats it.

But anyway, this is about the Xbox demo of BC2 :wee:

I never said the fastest PC's aren't faster than the 360.

Nor I'm I saying I would rather see games held back by 5 year old hardware.

However a stable platform in which everyone has the same spec's, is better for most end users.
