Wow. There was never lean in BF. The game works fine without prone and there are no mod tools because of the engine!

      Gah stop complaining.

Battlefield has always been absent of prone.

And Kyle, I need to agree.

Re: EA Looking to "Take On" Modern Warfare

I don’t own a console but have played BF since the classic 1942.last BF game bought was BF2.

I have to say that I played MW2 on a 40 inch screen for ages with my god son on Xmas day. And although even being seven he was used to it I think he knew I was impressed with the open mouthed look of amazement. I gave up on BF2 recently as I was sick to death of being behind someone unload a full clicp for them to jump round and kill me. Its not better skill or tactics they have in fact some are so far removed of team tactic its silly because they know they can be immortal with Medics. Its just rush and blast these days.

MW2 looked fantastic, played really well and you got owned if you ran out like a prat, BF2 style play would mean instant death. Did look a bit limited map wise and I don’t know if you can fly and take tanks but you could hit accurately and it took players down quick which I found after years of BF2 so refreshing.

Its not any of us that will make BF3 get to the top on sales, it’s the kids that are used to there Xboxes and PS3’s. I don’t think the wee one even associates games with the PC. And what will the consoles have out by BF3 release?

If you're talking about hardware, it's highly likely the Xbox 360 and PS3 will still be around in 2012, possibly longer.

Re: EA Looking to "Take On" Modern Warfare

That’s probably right PS4 and Xbox Extreme 720 will be out or such like, the Console is not really the question here the fact that MW has dominated and made a fortune in the current market and well done to them.

But we seem to suggest BF3 will blow MW out the water and I hope it does but its not going to have to fight against MW is it, its going to have to win against the next variant of the game that is probably got the huge backing.

I’m not going to buy the Bad company game as you can read in here it’s a quick shootem up and designed to be maximum full on FPS. I like my slower tactical FPS games that are huge and Varied that I hope BF3 will be.

I played MW for hours online with the wee one and I nearly went out and bought a 360 extreme the next day as its stunning. It was on a standard internet package and played flawless with no lag nothing and you have to remember this is on Christmas blooming day.

His Dad was showing me just how easy it was, he can see friends online, get a game up and running and here is the absolute best no idiot, kiddie admin’s kicking players that beat them.

BF2 used to be the best game I had, I have fond memories of many a match but the class of players playing is lower, ok some are kids and half the time they are all shouting Cheat and Aimbbot not at me but at others. It’s a dead horse and it should not have been flogged to death the way it has over five years. But credit to the game its still being played thankfully Mod like PR are in the background were the real play is.

BF3 is scotch mist right now, but here is hoping it will be the game for the next decade.

Sad thing is i was in "Game" here in the UK they had a whole shop with console games, wall to wall games and in this sad corner about five small shelfs was the PC games.

Video game Modern Warfare 2 has become one of only a handful of entertainment franchises to take more than $1bn (£625m)in revenue, its publishers say.

MW2 sucess caught them by surprise.. thats why BC2 was delayed- they had to re-tool it to be competitive - and why there are no Mod tools upon release. And why ( unfortunately ) BC2 seems to be more of a console game... I hope I'm wrong

But, competition is a good thing because now EA will provide the funding needed to DICE for more BF titles. BC2 is a stop-gap measure to keep COD series in check .

BC2 isn't any more of a console game than CoD4 PC really was.

nice joke. cod4 for pc was in no way similar to cod4 on console. whole different experience.
and news on bc2 is showing how it is more of a "port" than a dedicated pc game.

They win half the battle if they have dedicated server support.
