If amazingly fast and explosive men have been the bane of your existence in Modern Warfare 2 as of late, then know that Activision's go-to guy, Robert "fourzerotwo" Bowling, has got the hot scoops on a patch in the works to address the despised Javelin glitch. Version 1.06 of the game will not only do away with that awful bit of frustration, but will also address two other notable exploits in the multiplayer experience: <!--more-->

Fixes the Javelin glitch (thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster!)
Fixes unlimited care packages glitch
Fixes areas where players could exploit geography (e.g. hide inside rocks in Afghan)

Bowling says the patch is currently in the hands of Microsoft for certification on Xbox 360 and presumably in Sony's for PS3 certification. We've contacted Bowling for more info and will update the post when we hear back.

There has been a PC fix for the javelin glitch out for about a week now. Rumor has it that it is not a fully functional fix.

Will this patch also fix the care package speed glitch? I have been using it today and I have to say "wow".

the "javelin" glitch is more of a launcher glitch since you can do the same thing with Stinger, AT4, RPG, thumper. javelin glitch is like martyr exept with a javelin missile exploding not a grenade.

This update is for the PS3, not the PC. The numbering system is different it seems.

They will not remove 2 perks mate, and they never will. Speedy ninjas is just what this game is about.

yay another patch for PS3 that'll be 6 so far. Well at least it should get rid of the suiciding idiots with javalins & danger close.
