I hope you can pick from different crosshairs... something I miss in many games. There was another crosshair in the first Battlefield Moments trailer though.
Don't forget having an actual singleplayer campaign in addition to all these multiplayer goodies. The replay value is gonna be through the roof this time.
I love that wheel gun, the revolver. Clearly during the reloads its some sort of large caliber pistol. 1 shot kills with it, looks like
Somewhat troubling the sniper running forward like an Assaulter like that, but yes clearly staged.
I'm sold on the game!
I always play sniper class like that, i call it "rambo sniper" headshots are very easy to get when the enemy is across the street or in a window a few yards away. its great.
i played the beta today for at least 4 hours and MY god is this game ****en awesome. the control layout for consoles is different then bad company 1 BUT they fixed the knife issue (where you would press y or triangle and the knife will come out but stay out) now its like call of duty, it comes out once then your gun comes back. which i like.
the new system to identify where players are (well not new to pc players but for console players) works great. the game looks ****en amazing (ps3 beta) for a console game (i cant even imagine how awesome pc version will look)
the sound in this game is just amazing, the guns have new sounds, the voices sound really good. you can be far away and the voice will not come from a speaker or radio of some sort it really sounds like they are around you but may be behind you or far away or in a building.
the medic revive paddles are back and works great only problem with it imo is that they mixed the Support classes (guns) with the medic class. so you get these huge MG guns like the saw and the PKM. i liked how in BF2 and 2142 the medics had decent guns but at the same time i also like that they did this cause people wont all spawn as medics and just shot and hide and re heal then go out again.
most people may FLIP when they find this out but, i think they kinda did away with the health system. there are still med packs that can be thrown BUT its re genitive health (no where near what its like in 1943 so thats a good thing) it does not take much to kill you, so if you are used to getting shot a **** load in bad company 1 and still being able to just make it. you'll have to get used to this. imo you die as fast as BF2 so its not bad. the first few times its kinda wtf. but once you get used to it, you'll get the hang of it :)
so far, the beta feels REALLY more like a Release Candidate. only came across a time when running and reloading and part of the reloading sound did not play and one time, a tree that was intact, was glitching (was there then it was not there) but that only happened once in the whole 4 hours of playing.
the dedicated servers (YES DEDICATED SERVERS for the ps3 beta) work GREAT. feels like there is LESS lag than bad company 1. never had a lag issue and my bud was playing WoW on his pc while i was playing this and (he has cable modem 9mb down, 1mb up) and still had no lag :)
I can't wait for the pc beta to come out. This game imo from this just one map is a MUST BUY.
ANYONE that has a ps3, get out and find a beta key. pre-order the game from gamestop, go to gamespot.com and get a free beta code (if there is any left) even if you hate playing FPS's on consoles, its a must play. I for one am buying this for the pc but i had LOADS of fun playing this beta, and i absolutely hate playing FPS's on consoles. yeah this game imo is that awesome.
