EA Plans to 'Revitalize' the Medal Of Honor Series

That's right. According to Joystig, the EA plans to 're-vitalize' the Medal of Honor series, with the finer details still to come.

After relaying the company's success in revitalizing the long-abused Need for Speed franchise with this year's well-received Need for Speed: Shift during this afternoon's Q2 conference call, EA Games label president Frank Gibeau revealed, "In the months ahead, you'll hear more about our plans to revitalize core IP, including the Medal of Honor franchise."

Hopefully a great MoH title will come of this.

Wasn't medal of honour a WW2 based FPS series?
I think i have played it while back, it didn't stand out as a "amazing game"

Apparently IW didn't learn from that game's mistakes lol. MoH:AA and MoH:SH were great games that had people playing for years, there are still about 1500 playing MoH:AA on the weekends, but the series went down hill after MoH:SH. I won't be buying the next MoH unless I hear great, great reviews, AFTER release, FROM actual gamers.

MoH:AA was awsome at the time but then again people played it more for MP and who could forget the Snowy park map. Used to play 5v5 on MoHAA with an old Voip program called Roger Wilco.

Will be interesting to see how they can revitalise it since i spent many long hours playing it online during the night.

The problem is that the new guys not oging to see MoH in all his splendor cause all other games has follow the formula and made all that make MpH a good title, including Halo and Battlefield series.

It'll be weird to see how this goes down. If MW2 flops due to lack of patching and what not and the new MoH is decent and well supported, will poeple swap games?
