I figure might put this one at rest.
So you can see from that one PS3 as well Xbox 360 guys have mouse control, as well as text chat in game. Pretty sure they also got some kind of graphics settings to play with.
That is emulated mouse control. There is a big difference in how it actually plays. True mouse support built into the game would control very differently, it would be much more precise.

Yeah but that game is free. And it is probably bigger then MW2.

I did try it and it works almost the same as normal. Granted you have to adjust some sensitivity for a mouse, but after a while you won't even notice any difference. :)

Can someone give me a run down of what the player limits are for various game modes?

Well, IWNet was down for some time today. Other then that I have had no issues, exept for the constant high ping. It feels like your playing at 100+ all the time and still it shows you all green bars.

I miss dedicated servers with 30-50ms

My son bought the 360 version, yesterday. The maps are nice. Lots of small details, almost distracting because of the amount of stuff to look at. Matchmaking blows. They kept playing the same 5 or 6 maps over and over again even though 15 maps shipped with the game. The maps seem to be a good size, however, with that said 6 v 6 seemed crowded on some. I think that may have something to do with the way players spawn. Run and gun was the way of each of the maps that my kids played. Weapons sound really good, lots of punch and sizzle.

Some of the kill streak perks seem a bit overpowered. The airstrike comes in the form of several anti-personal bombs laying waste to a long stretch of the map. The helo returns with its all seeing chain gun and Harriers are also present as hovering gun platforms. The biggest and most deadly is, of course, the C130. When you bring up the computer you can see the whole map and where every baddie is, you can then direct the 105 or missile to home right in on a particular spot on the map for one shot.

I watched them for a while until the expected connection and server disconnects got too frequent. This game looks like a great game for the Xbox/PS3. Sadly, for PC users this is just a true port of a console game. If they had dedicated servers I could forgive everything else about the game, ie no lean, 6 v 6 on most maps, over powered kill streaks. All of that kind of stuff could have been modded. Alas, IW screwed the pooch.

If you have a retail CD version, read the bottom at the back it will make sense as to why you have to go via steam,

NOTICE: Product offered subject to your acceptance of the steam Subscriber Agreement. You must activate this product via internet by registering for a Steam account and accepting the SSA.
. Blah blah blah blah.

This is not a bad thing, it means that if you ever have to reinstall or something you dont have to go fishing around for the correct updates.

It's funny if you compare the metascore to the user score.

I can understand it if you're a console gamer and you love this game, but for pc players it just sounds broken to me.

And even if you're not in a clan. In all the games I played I had prefered servers I played on, with many people you get to know over time, but you don't want them all on your friends list.
