Over the past few weeks, the developer of Modern Warfare 2 has released critical information about the game, most of which has created a deafening uproar within the PC community.

Initially, many players were upset by the removal of dedicated server support for IW.net, but as weeks passed worse news arose, confirming the removal of the developer console and record feature, just to name a few. Jock Yitch continues to be a major proponent of PC gaming, and he speaks out against the atrocities, so-to-speak, that Infinity Ward has committed against PC gamers.

they have a prety good point about microsoft and windows live games. Microsoft knows that they are not making enough money out of games for windows crap and they now trying to ditch pc gamers for 360.

They're hanging way too much hope on a few "maybe's and we'll see's" from GVD, BC2 will have dedicated servers but they'll be locked away at GSP's far from the hands of any modders or tweakers. There won't be any mapping or modding for BC2.

Microsoft showed their hand when they tried to push Windows Live "gold" paid subscriptions on PC users when Gears of War was released, after they completely failed they put PC gaming on the bottom shelf and systematically went about closing their PC developer studios, Flightsim group, Ensemble, both gone now. Not even DirectX 10 exclusivity on Vista could drive people into purchasing their upgraded OS. It's not surprising that they're not pushing gaming on the PC with Windows 7.

Wait till a game like Diablo III is released exclusively for the PC, Microsoft will be all over the place boosting about the virtues of playing games on Windows 7.
