Not if the game isn't designed for 40+ players.

1943 was not designed for 32 players but its confirmed to have 32 players now.

I remember asking Gordon van dyke back in june , '' How many players will the PC version of 1943 have ??? '' , and he said...... '' I don't know yet , we will have to do some tests and see what a good number is that the engine can surpport ''.

Also , i liked 64 player servers in BF2 at first but only for a little while , after then it became very boring very fast and i now think 30 - 40 players is a much better number.

If there ever was a 64 player game or higher , i would try out the 64 player servers a few times , but after then i would stick to smaller numbers , its less of a nade fest and you have more chance to use your stealth skills:thumbsup:

haha it s funny how they sad (pc later) because they knew what kind of drama it would create if they dint mentiond something about the pc . So i think the pc communitie rly keaping DICE under a gun barrel. One mistake and they are dead :)

Hopefully this will help sort out all the problems the PS3 seems to get with BC and 1943. The mic problem is the worst of them all and I have a feeling that the reason we are getting this beta first (apart from the fact that it was on xbox for the first one) is to try and make sure that we don't have this mic problem for BC2 or I'm hoping thats why it is.

Anyway at least StoneCold won't have to send his headset to DICE again. Maybe it was his dodgy headset that caused the problems in the first place. :p

We are still a long way off DX10 being a requirement. I don't see it becoming a requirement until DX11.

DX10 will in all likelihood stay as an option.

I think the industry will pretty much skip DX10. Dx11 is slated to be the new DX9, I.E. it'll be minimum requirement for a while.

DX 10 will be required for bc2, theres a video on youtube where they make a test with the frostbite engine about the shadows, without dX10 theres annoying flickering in the shadows but with DX 10 its stable and very smooth. 295 gtx can deal with this dont worry im glad i have one muahhahaha :thumbsup:

Too bad your gtx 295 has microstuttering so if u get 60fps on dx10 it feels choppy 30fps, so in practice it wont run even if the fps number is high.

Consoles dont use any type of direct X. They got own API. But it is similar to DX. I would call it DX10 LITE(on xbox360).
