DICE now $60 richer thanks to dedicated servers!

Delighted by the announcement of dedicated servers for Bad Company 2, Battlefield fan "Eddie J" decided to thank DICE. He sent a letter containing a cheque for $60 for the developers to use in making BC2! Here is what DICE had to say:

The entire team of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 wants to thank Eddie J. for his letter and generous gift. It's moments like this that make all the late nights and weekends of crunching to make the best game possible all worth it. Again, thank you so much Eddie! :-)

Perhaps they need to buy in some beers and dedicate a whole day to making the PC version as awesome as possible!

why are they making a big deal out of something that was planned anyways? if it wasn't for the IW debacle, nobody would be celebrating dedicated server support.

They aren't really making the story, merely saying thanks to the person who sent the $60.

It's just a nice touch and shows they do read letters people send :)

Its all about support, and No EA is not perfect, but dammit at least they haven't given up on us the PC gamers, like IW,

I think I will do something similar, However I will address the envelope to IW/Activision But the cheque(and note) will still say the same as Eddie's!

IW can stick their tongues on a METAL POLE in the dead of Winter!

Funny that they send money now, but a couple years back and they'd have probably sent faeces lol.
