Gamestop Posts Modern Warfare 2 PC System Requirements

Gamestop has posted the PC system requirements for Modern Warfare 2 on their website. It seems Infinity Ward has not confirmed these settings themselves:

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Hard Drive Space : 16 GB free hard drive space
Operating System : Windows® Vista/XP
Processor : AMD 64 3200+ or Intel Pentium® 4 3.0GHz or better
RAM : 512 MB RAM (XP) / 1 GB RAM (VISTA) <!--more-->
Video Card : Shader 3.0 or better 256 MB nVidia® GeForce™ 6600GT / ATI® Radeon™ 1600XT or better

Just to compare, here are the specifications for CoD:4

Minimum System Requirements

DirectX : 9.0c
Hard Drive Space : 8 GB Free
Operating System : Windows XP/Vista
Processor : Pentium 4 @ 2.4 GHz/AMD Athlon 2600+ or any Dual Core Processor @ 1.8 GHz
RAM : 512 MB (768 for Windows Vista)
Video Card : nVidia 6600/ATI Radeon 9800Pro

We can't leave out CoD:W@W

Minimum System Requirements

Disk Drive : DVD Rom Drive
DirectX : 9.0c
Hard Drive Space : 8 GB Free

Remeber again that IW has not confirmed the specs for Modern Warfare 2.

That's a big game, just to play singleplayer. Seriously what else can you do with MW2?

My guess is that they extra 8 gigs is for the 25 co-op maps and all the other co-op crap.

And the required bloat from a bad port job.

MW2 was just added to Steam. Specs are more detailed.

I think steam is also going to be required, the gamestop photo shows at the bottom that you have to install and sign the Steam Service agreement, not a biggie for me since i already use steam.

GTA IV takes up 14.9GB on my system...
So it isn't a huge stretch. And the requirement on the box for GTA IV says 16GB.

Size aside I am guessing that the reccomened specs will be as steep as Crysis on full settings is currently.

I don't think they have changed much in the Game Engine since COD4.
